I was responsible for the creation of a new website and online strategy for Alaska Tours. This process included branding, technical planning, UX design, and complex 3rd party integration. Working with my long-term associate Annie Ellicott, we had great success with the new website doubling overall traffic within the first year.
Challenges
One of the largest tourism organizations in Alaska, Alaska Tours offers hundreds of spectacular adventure packages across the state. My role was to manage the branding, interface design, and web development components of the project. The new website is responsive, immersive and user friendly, driving traffic to experience tour content and book online.
To support CRM and booking components we developed a complex API integration with the “Softrips” reservation system. Built in WordPress this website features a diversity of customization and admin tools for building and marketing tours online. Thankfully to assist with this large project I had the assistance of Annie Ellicott (project management, content management, SEO) and Marian Lowe (illustrator, assistance with logo)
